Interactive video quiz template problem
Hello,
I'm trying to use David Anderson's video quiz template and I'm running into a problem. https://community.articulate.com/download/storyline-interactive-video-quiz-template/
I've added a player option so people could skip forwards in the video if they want, but it seems that doing this disables the buttons from appearing and are supposed to popup at the three cues I've created. If I play the video and click on nothing until the cue, then the button will appear, but if I try to skip around the video to jump to where it should appear, then it doesn't. Anyone know what's going on here?

Andrew,
I'm not in front of a computer with SL running but have you tried turning off the Video controls on the video itself? (select the video > go to the options tab > set the Video Controls to "show none"
Then, go into the slide properties for this video slide and turn on the seekbar under the Player features.
Hope that helps. Sorry, I'm not in the office but wanted to see if I could help you a little.

Wow, it worked perfectly. Thank you so much.
Hi Andrew,
The video controls seekbar can only control the video. It doesn't affect anything else that is on the slide. The Player seekbar on the other hand controls the timeline of the entire slide. This means that when you scrub the video controls seekbar, you are not affecting the timeline of the cues, which is why they do not appear on screen.
Hi Andrew,
Just to add to Richard's response, the video controls seekbar only controls the video, while the Player seekbar controls the timeline of the entire slide. You'll want to use the seekbar of the Player if you're trying to jump ahead in the timeline to see your oval cues.

Thanks Joe! One small question, why does it matter if I used the video controls vs player seekbar controls if both of them are still manipulating the timeline? shouldn't either of them work??
