Is it possible to hide the player on certain slides?

Hello Articulate Team and Users,

I currently have a course that has the player enabled.  This is helpful because the slides are narrated, and I would like the learner to be able to adjust the volume and see how long the narration timeline will take.

The presentation is then followed by some quiz slides. I would like to turn the player off for the quiz slides only, because I think the meter indicating length of timeline could be distracting and could add unnecessary pressure to answer the question within a certain amount of time.

Is there a way to turn on the player for some slides but not the others? Or are there any workarounds?

Thank you!

Anya

  • You can go to the slide properties, choose custom for this slide, and deselect the seekbar.  its the cog in the lower right, just under the name of the base slide.

  • Hi Walt,

Yes! That is exactly what I needed. Thank you!

Is there any chance I could turn off the volume control for those slides too?

    Thank you,

    Anya

  • I think you would have to do that on the individual video or audio clip.

  • Hi Walt,

The quiz slides don't have any audio or video on them, but I did some research, and it looks like that's one of those things that you can't customize on individual slides.

    Thank you!
