Is it possible to stop a GIF in Rise360 from looping?
Hi! I've embedded a GIF in my Rise360 Course (yay!), but I would like it to "stop" after the first loop instead of looping repeatedly. Is this possible?
Alternatively, I'd like for the last "screen" of the GIF to remain on the screen for 20-30 seconds.
The GIF is an Animated Powerpoint that I saved as a GIF...it has text blocks that appear one by one. The last one contains more text and disappears (the re-loop) too quickly for someone to read the full content.
Thanks!

Hi Christine and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! 🎉 It sounds like you only want the learner to see the animation once. If that's the case, it might work better to save the PPT animation as an mp4 and then insert that as a Video in Rise 360. That way, the learner only views it once and can rewind/pause as needed. Just an idea!

I'm in the same position. I can't get an MP4 to start automatically in Rise so have produced a gif in Vyond. This did start automatically in Rise but now won't stop. So for Rise I want either an MP 4 to start automatically and play once in Rise or the gif to start automatically and play once. Can you help please?

Hi everyone. The best way to keep a GIF from looping is to change the settings on the GIF file itself. In many GIF creation tools and editors, there's an option to change the GIF from an infinite loop to a single play.
If you make a GIF in a tool that doesn't let you choose the looping options when you publish it, all you have to do is open your GIF in an editor and you can update the settings there. Here's an article on how to change these settings in several different editing tools.
