Is there a way to move/copy blocks to other lessons or sections?
Hi
I got a bit carried away (having fun!) and was adding all my blocks to one lesson. I now want to move or copy some of the blocks to a separate lesson or section. Or can I duplicate an entire lesson (and delete the extra blocks)? Is there a way to easily do this that I'm missing? Thanks. j

Glad you are having fun with Rise, Janet.
We're working on a feature right now to duplicate lessons. It's weeks away. Sorry you don't have it now, but since Articulate 360 is a subscription you'll get it the day it's released.

Hi Adam - wanting to add blocks as a learner progresses through a program over a certain period of months...am I able to do this now?

What's the status on this? Huge pitfall of Rise that this isn't easy to do.

Jamie, it seems you were replying to a post by Adam related to copying entire Rise lessons.
This feature has been available in Rise for quite a while now.
If you want to copy only certain blocks within a Lesson, that function works well too.

Would this include incorporating multiple types of content into one lesson? For example, whenever I create a lesson it locks me into whatever type of content I choose and I have not found a way to switch between content types in the same lesson.
Is this being addressed as well?
Hey, Tim! It sounds like you'd be interested in the Blocks lesson type in Rise. In a Blocks lesson, you can incorporate different content into one lesson. Check out this video tutorial on Rise; you'll see around timestamp 6:15 where Tom demonstrates Blocks!
Once you have started a lesson type, however, you won't be able to change it to a different type. You can create a new lesson and delete any lessons that are unnecessary.

Any update on when the ability to duplicate lessons or move blocks between lessons will be available? Last update was 5 months ago. Thanks.
Hi Jan. Thanks for asking.
You can duplicate your lessons in Rise right now! Have a Peek at how that’s done.
So if you have blocks that you’d like to reuse, duplicate the entire lesson and delete any extra blocks.
I’m really sorry that I didn’t update this discussion. New features are released all the time, and you get them automatically.
You can stay up to date on the latest additions to Rise right here. Enjoy!

Thanks, but that link doesn't demonstrate an easy way to copy blocks between lessons in the same multi-lesson course.
For example (one of many examples), I have a recommended reading section consisting of a header block and a numbered list block. While I can duplicate these two blocks in the same lesson, I do not know of a way to copy the blocks to other lessons within the same course.
Many of my Rise 360 courses have more than 8 lessons, so I need to manually redo the same two blocks for every lesson, a time-consuming requirement of applying style and format each time.
Why not use the block template feature?
While a library of frequently used blocks is nice, that is a separate use case. I often need to duplicate blocks that are unique to one course, and I don't want to have to create a template or library of one-off blocks. This is similar to my issue regarding the question pools. I wish I could also generate one-off question pools inside a specific course rather than being forced to create a library.
It just seems like a huge miss that I cannot duplicate content within a single course.

To move blocks from one lesson to another, therefore, we have to duplicate the course first? Then, open each course in a separate browser window. Select, copy, and paste the content from one to the other. Right?
Hi Jan! Perhaps I'm not following, but if you are duplicating the lesson/course, you would not need to copy/paste - the content would already be there. If there are 'extras' that were duplicated that you did not need, you could delete those.

I think Jan is asking the same thing that I need to know, how to move blocks from one lesson to another. I started a course and I want to add a block from one of my other courses, so how do I move it from one course to the other?
Hello Ronda,
Thanks for clarifying your question. At this time, this is not a feature. I can see where the instructions shared above would be difficult for courses already started or to merge features from multiple projects as well.
This would be a great feature request and I have submitted this on your behalf.

Hopefully this request sees some traction soon as it would benefit my team's workflow as well. We manage the production of some expansive course materials w/ many collaborators. The recent copy content to another user feature was great to consolidate material into one account; however-- we still have to manually recreate the same piece to do our own version of a merge for true consolidation into one Rise file/course.
Yup, we're working on a great solution for this Cassius. Hang tight.

Makes my day to read this. Thanks, Adam! When I relay this info, I know the immediate follow-up question I'll be met with..."Is there any timeline on when they're trying to get the feature into production?"
Thanks again!This year. :-)

Just chiming in to say this feature would be very helpful to my working group as well.
