Is there a way to move/copy blocks to other lessons or sections?
Hi
I got a bit carried away (having fun!) and was adding all my blocks to one lesson. I now want to move or copy some of the blocks to a separate lesson or section. Or can I duplicate an entire lesson (and delete the extra blocks)? Is there a way to easily do this that I'm missing? Thanks. j

Hello.
I might not see it - but I have a block (in this case a labelled graphic) in a chapter which I need to move to another chapter. How do I do that?
Hi there,
The easiest way to copy a block from one lesson to another is by creating a block template. Here's how that works.
If there's anything else I can do to help, please let me know!

Hi! I'm interested in being able to copy a block from lesson to another. It looks like that still isn't possible, but let me know if I'm wrong. Thanks!

Hi Jamie!
Are you looking to copy blocks from one lesson to another lesson? If so, you can save existing blocks and their content as block templates. Let us know if that answers your question!

Copy block to clipboard and then pasting it at desired location would be comfortable!

I may be missing something here. I have a labeled graphic that I have added to a lesson, and now I've realized it's in the wrong lesson. I need to move it up to the previous lesson. I am not seeing a way to do that. Do I have to recreate the entire labeled graphic?

Replying to myself. I saved the blocks as a Block Template and inserted it into a previous lesson. That works, although I don't think that's what this feature was intended for.

Jennifer, I use Block Templates often for this very purpose.
We also use Block Templates to ensure style consistency between team members for commonly used block types.

Hi, What happen if I want to move a block from a lesson, to another lesson ?? It seems that you found how to move a lesson from a section to another but not a block... Basically I want to move content from a lesson to another that is already created... Any clue?
Tks, sorry if it's written somewhere and I don't see it.
Hi there, Sheela! Try using block templates. You can choose one or more blocks in a single lesson, and save them for use elsewhere. Once you add your template of blocks to another lesson, you can work with them just like any other block.
I hope that helps!

So if you put a block in the wrong section of a course, how do you move it?
Hi there, Teresa. Block templates should do the trick for you here. When you add 1 or more blocks to a block template, you can reuse that template in any lesson or course, no matter which section it started in.

A simple copy/paste would be ideal :-)

I have found the tutorial on how to duplicate a lesson or a course, but i was wondering if you could add a single block (like an interactive picture or something) to another lesson from within one course. Sometimes you decide that some information would work better at another part of your course, but now I have to manually copy my interactive picture. Can this be added to the requests for new Rise updates?
Hello, Becis!
Block templates allow you to copy 1 or more blocks from one lesson to another. Simply create a new template, select the block(s) you want to copy, then import that template into another lesson.
You can read more about the process in this article! Creating, Sharing, and Reusing Block Templates
