Issue with text variables!!!

I thought it was odd too, so I published a version that specifically included ONLY Flash so that there would be no way the LMS or my browser might try to serve it up to me in HTML5 as a fallback. I uploaded that Flash-only version to my LMS and got the results you see in my last screenshot.
