Issue with triggers opening layers
Hello all,
I am hoping someone can assist me with the issue I am having with my SL project. I created a flowchart that includes various shapes. The shapes are supposed to open slide layers. Only half of the shapes work to open the layers. The other half won't even show a clickable cursor when you hover the mouse over the shape to indicate there is anything to click on. I tried making it hover to open layer and click to open layer. I am not sure why only some of it functions properly.

A "when mouse hovers over" trigger should never be used to reveal content. It makes that content inaccessible to anyone navigating with a keyboard or using a mobile device.
Without seeing the .story file, it's hard to troubleshoot the problem of some shapes not being clickable. One thing that can cause that is if an image is on top of the shape. That can happen without you realizing it if it's an image that has an area that is transparent. So if there are PNGs on the slide, check their boundaries. If they overlap with the button-shapes, either crop the images or move them under the shapes.
If that's not the problem, I suggest you upload a copy of the .story file with that slide.
Here are the best practices for uploading a .story file:
- Only include slides that are related to the problem.
- Be sure objects, layers, motion paths, and variables have meaningful names.
- If there is proprietary content, replace or delete it. For example, replace proprietary text with “ipsum lorem” text.
