JAWS not reading full content of Storyline output
We had placed text of around 200 hundred words on a screen but JAWS read around 152 words and stopped. Same even if the text is placed in Notes section. We tried to find solution on this within JAWS but could not find any as we were not certain if there was any character/word limit. Is there a solution where the whole content is read?

Hi LearningMate,
What version of Storyline and JAWS are you using? JAWS only supports the latest version (which I believe is JAWS 18) and viewing the content in the latest version of Internet Explorer.
Also, it should be able to read all the text on a slide as long as you've set that box as visible to accessibility tools (a setting in the Size/Position options).
I haven't heard of a character count that JAWS will stop at - but have you tried breaking the text up into individual boxes and tabbing between those to see if JAWs reads it?

From what I've seen using the latest version of SL/JAWS, there's a 1,024 character (1Kb) limit on what JAWS will read in Storyline.
Good info, Erich. I'll admit I'm not the "accessibility expert" here, is that limit per slide? Per object and alt text? Just curious to have more info about this and I can connect back with our Product team to share.

I've seen it happen with Notes and text boxes. It would be great if the product team could resolve this as I have to create alternate screens for people using screen readers that breaks the notes or text boxes into 1Kb text boxes.
Thanks, Erich - and I do see that this is already on our team's radar. We'll keep everyone posted here as we have more info on it.

Hello Guys,
Please apply role="contentinfo" OR role="definition" to the container. It will resolve the word count issue and then JAWS will read the whole content.

Thanks Rajeev but how do I do this? Can anyone from Articulate provide instructions?
