Keyboard shortcuts on Rise

Hi all,

In Storyline modules, I advise users to press Shift+? to bring up the keyboard shortcuts at any point if they need them.

Is there an equivalent of this in Rise? I'm working on cleaning up some old modules and there are textboxes on each page listing keyboard tips. This seems tedious for someone using a screen reader. I'd love to be able to get rid of them and have the user bring up info as necessary.

Any ideas?

Thanks Karl, I had that article bookmarked but it doesn't quite hit the spot I'm afraid.

If the designer knows the keyboard shortcuts, but the user doesn't, how do we make sure they do?

I don't want to fill up valuable space inserting keyboard tips, and Storyline makes it easy by enabling users to open up a list of shortcuts easily. My question is whether this is possible in Rise?

Or is everyone assuming that people with accessibility needs will know all the shortcuts already?

        Hi Shani,

As far as I'm aware, Rise does not have a built-in function to bring up the keyboard shortcuts when required as Storyline does.

As a workaround you could provide a link to the keyboard instructions page.

Thanks Karl, our team has discussed the issue and concluded that someone who uses a keyboard to navigate will already be highly experienced in keyboard shortcuts so we don't necessarily have to provide guidance.

If anyone else has reflected on this topic I'd love to hear your insights!
