Labelling_and_cross_referencing_figures.pdf

I am preparing a course on rise360. 

I would like the tables and images to be automatically numerated and referenced.

In the attached Latex the command 

"The universe appears in figure number \ref{fig:universe} and it appears in page number \pageref{fig:universe}."

Will produce

"The universe appears in figure number 1 and it appears in page number 1."

If I am going to insert another figure before this figure the number will updated automatically.
