Launching Rise Site with Collapsed Menu

Hi community!

I want to launch a Rise course with the menu showing, but the contents within it collapsed so that just the main lesson titles are showing. I'm actually using Rise for a repository of articles and videos where the "Lesson" is the topic (e.g., Coaching) and when users click on the drop down menu, they will see the articles and videos as sublevel contents. I've attached pictures of how the menu looks today (expanded) and how I would like it to look (collapsed). My IT contact is thinking that perhaps the Java Script in the export zip file can be altered.

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to publish your Rise 360 course again.

I would love to see the first lesson be expanded and the remaining lessons below collapsed. This would allow the user to focus on individual lessons without being overwhelmed.

      Hello GeorgePrice-3fd

Thanks for reaching out! We do not have any updates to share at this time. I've gone ahead and shared your voice with our product team. We'll be sure to update this thread in the future with any news and updates so that all are in the loop!

      Have a wonderful evening!

  • Has anybody figured out if Javascript will work and if so would it be possible to obtain the script?

Eric, thanks for the update. I tested this on a course and realized one issue:

    1. With sections collapsed, there is no indicator showing the user which section they are currently viewing, making the menu useless as a navigation utility.

Here is a look at how the menu should indicate which section is currently being viewed, it automatically expands current section, and collapses other sections based on the content being viewed. This is a customization and I will share the code with your team if interested.
