Learner Usage Data Metrics?
Hi all,
Noticed that there is the "Allow Usage Data Collection" setting while exporting the course into a SCORM file.
Just wondering if us (the course author, and the LMS admin) can view these metrics as well? Such as an overall % of which device & model our learner mostly viewing our course with, etc? Statistics on learner on my course, and in general by region would be nice.
As an author, we sure want to make our content fits into their devices.
As a LMS admin, we sure want to know especially when they are reporting having issues and they have no clue.
Thanks & Best Regards

Hi HKJCHKJC,
Happy to provide more insight on this.
The "Allow Usage Data Collection" setting is designed to help improve Articulate 360 products. When enabled, it sends limited, anonymous usage data to Articulate servers. This allows us to analyze feature usage metrics, along with general device and browser information when learners view the published output. This data is used solely for product improvement and does not provide reporting or analytics access to course authors or LMS administrators.
Currently, this is the only data Rise communicates to an LMS when publishing a SCORM package. How the LMS interprets and displays that data is reliant on the LMS itself.
Having said that, I do understand your need for more custom tracking options. I've shared your feedback directly with our product team.
We'll be sure to notify you if we release a future update that helps!
