Link to open shared folder

Hi all,

I'm fine inserting hyperlinks to open files & URLs but I'm struggling to get a link inserted to open a shared folder.

I need to open a shared folder '\\intranet\vids' which holds a number of files. The files need to be stored in the folder rather than in the Storyline package itself.

I've tried inserting a URL but it strips a \ from the start of the link and I can't seem to get it working with JavaScript.


Any advice greatly appreciated!

    I apologize, Guy. I just realized that you mentioned linking to a folder.

    Storyline lets you add files and web links to your course player as supplemental information for learners, but not folders.

    You can either link to the individual files within the folder or you can upload the folder to a web server (such as Amazon S3) and then share that URL link if needed (which would help with file size if that's the concern).

    I will put a document in the Resources tab to link to the folder

    As an afterthought, can StoryLine 360 be upgraded to add the ability to link to a folder?

      I'll be happy to share this idea with our team to add the option to link to a folder in the Resources tab! We'll update this discussion if this feature makes it on our roadmap.
