Looking for open-source free LMS, preferably online
Hello articulate community,
We currently do not have an LMS to record assessment and evaluation results, nor track participant progress. Our aim is to build a business case for our business to invest in one, but in the meantime I was hoping to use a free open source LMS to assist in building this case by providing working demonstrations of the benefits. Prerferably one that is online/
Can anyone assist with some reccomendations? Please ask if you need more info from me.
Cheers
Damian

Hey Damian,
Dave Moxon did a nice little blog series not too long ago on open-source LMS options. These are the ones that he reviewed:
Another good idea is to check into Articulate Online, which although it isn't free, you can get a 30-day free trial so that you can give it a test drive and try out all the reporting & tracking features. It's really easy to use, too.

Moodle works nicely with articulate, although moodle is free, if you have no knowledge of running an lms I would go with a moodle partner who will be a ble to theme it and give you advice

I have been using Scorm Cloud as a testing environment for my Articulate projects.

Hey Damian,
I will suggest you, use moodle because it has a very nice user-interface design for your admin and users. You can expend it as much as you want. It also has a great feature you can design moodle according to your banding.
Thanks

Hello,
Hope it's not too late to chip in. I've just come across two free LMSs:
and
mdl2.com (a Moodle based site)
I've just registered with both and personally, Coursesites is way better than Moodle.

Andrea - in your experience with CourseSites, were you able to record the scores of your Articulate/Storyline courses in the grade center? Did you have some other method of reporting? I found that CourseSites has been the easiest free LMS to figure out so far, but I haven't figured out where it actually stores the grading or completion info. Any and all advice is welcome!

Hello Everyone,
I have a similar question as Sarah. I have developed my first Storyline module and have published it to LMS, but I don't know how to connect it with the course I set up in CourseSites. Ideally, I would like the students to complete the quizzes in the Storyline module and then for me to be able to see their results in the CourseSites course. If anyone has had success in this area, I would really appreciate your advice and suggestions. Thanks!

Docebo is great, however, 4.5 was the last release before they went cloud based.
