Losing template formatting when importing PowerPoint into Storyline 360

My company also has a branded template. One element in the slide master is a text box at the bottom of each slide that has the name of the learning module and the date it was last edited. When I imported a presentation into Storyline this morning, that text was not on the slides, but it is in the slide master. I'm not sure what's happening/not happening here.
