Marker Accessibility?
I saw that there was a recent update to improve marker accessibility. However, I can't get my screen reader to read the text in the marker. I've attached a quick test in Review: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/6b181836-0fb4-4465-88f4-3c66b1dedc81/review
Hi Lauren!
Happy to help with this!
Testing the review link you shared with the NVDA screen reader, the text from your Marker label was not announced. To confirm, have you included Alt Text for the Marker button in your Storyline course?
- Here's a quick screen recording of how the NVDA screen reader interacts with a Marker with Alt Text enabled!
In my recording, I first navigated to the Marker button using the Tab key, then used the Enter key to expand the label box. From there, I used the Down arrow key to move the focus of the screen reader to the body of text within the label box.
If you run into any trouble setting up the Alt Text within your Storyline course, please let me know. I'd be happy to assist further!

To clarify, I should add all the text I want inside the marker as alt-text? Thanks!
Hi Lauren!
Thanks for following up! Sorry for not clarifying that in my last reply!
When working with the Alt text feature, you should only include the topic of the Marker in the Alt text field. Please let me know if you have any more questions!
