Hey Mark!
You can turn off the label. When you add the marker, while the marker is selected, click on the button on the ribbon that says "label" -- it's not the most obvious, but that turns the label on and off:
It looks like markers have been updated, and there are a lot of formatting options. If I don't want the label to show, am I correct that the best way to do that is to select no fill and no outline for the label in the marker formatting tab?
