Markers without labels in 360 panoramas
Hey Mark!
You can turn off the label. When you add the marker, while the marker is selected, click on the button on the ribbon that says "label" -- it's not the most obvious, but that turns the label on and off:
It looks like markers have been updated, and there are a lot of formatting options. If I don't want the label to show, am I correct that the best way to do that is to select no fill and no outline for the label in the marker formatting tab?
Hey HeatherRoss,
Happy to help with this.
Are you referring to Markers that have been added to a 360-degree image? Or Markers that have been placed on a standard slide?
If you're working with 360-degree images, then the steps Elizabeth shared still apply.
- Click EDIT 360 IMAGE.
- Select the Marker.
- Click Label from the top ribbon to toggle the label on/off.
However, Storyline does not support the same toggle option for Markers on a standard slide. You are correct. You can set Label Fill to 'No Fill', and Label Border to 'No Outline', to prevent any Marker label from appearing.
There is another workaround you can use, which involves fewer clicks. Select your Marker, then navigate to Marker Tools (Format) on the top ribbon. Under Marker Options, check the box for Audio Only.
The label will remain visible while editing, but it won't appear when previewing or after publishing.
It's helpful to know that a dedicated toggle to show/hide Marker labels would improve your authoring experience. I'd love to hear about your use case. Do you mind sharing more details on your design and the need for Markers without labels?
