Mobile Play button Storyline 360 block in Rise
Articulate team, could you assist here please, as there's obviously a large number of users wanting to remove the 'Play' button that appears over the cover image in Storyline blocks within Rise when accessed on a mobile device – and there's still no solution 6 years on.
The best workaround that's been suggested in this thread is to stop using Rise360 and move to Wordpress instead. But for those of us that might be tied to using Rise, could you please at least help us out with finding a workaround until you do get around to addressing this issue?
I understand from reading numerous posts from your team that a button is needed in order to activate the Storyline interaction within Rise on a mobile device. Sure, I can accept that. But when the Storyline file contains no audio or video whatsover, it makes absolutely no sense for that button to be a 'Play' button – the right-arrow in a circle icon that's commonly interpreted by users as a 'Play' button for audio and video files.
The only logical workaround in this case is to change that 'Play' button to be a 'Start' button. So can you please advise how we can change this icon/button – where exactly is the code or asset that generates this icon in the published output file of the Rise course? I've looked in the published output folder called \content\assets, but I can't find the white arrow in a circle as an image file. So is the code to generate it embedded somewhere in the \html5\data\js files?
AlyssaGomez, as the Articulate Staff member most involved in this discussion thread, could you please respond to the 2 questions below which relate to my post above?
1. Does your team agree that changing the 'Play' button to a 'Start' button would be a logical solution to this issue?
2. Can your team please advise what code or asset generates the Play icon (white arrow in circle) within the published output files of the Rise course? (This would at least help us find a clunky, manual workaround until your team decides to fix this issue).
