If I had access to the video, I'd check how it was encoded. It's possible that it uses a codec that Samsung's default install doesn't support. They heavily modify Android for their tablets and use their own branded software as the default a lot. "MP4" is a container format, it doesn't tell you much about how the video is actually compressed.
