Multiple audio files in one slide overlapping
We're experiencing this issue too. Multiple audio files arranged on the timeline to play in sequence, one after another - with a little space on the timeline between them. Sometimes the audio all plays at once, and sometimes it doesn't. Has anyone found a good fix for this, or is the only "solution" to combine all the clips into one?
Also - the screen times out if it's not actively being touched on this same slide. The audio tracks can be a little lengthy and if the learner doesn't keep touching the screen it falls asleep. This also reset the full-screen mode (on Android devices) which is super annoying. What can we do to solve the sleeping screen?
Hi CRios!
Sorry to hear audio from your Storyline course is not playing back as expected!
We're currently tracking a bug in Storyline that produces behavior similar to what you've shared. This bug causes multiple audio files with different timings to overlap when the seekbar is dragged while viewing the course on a mobile device.
I understand the behavior appears sporadic. However, it's possible that the affected learners were the ones who manually scrubbed the seekbar during playback. If you're comfortable sharing a copy of the affected .story file we'd be happy to check and confirm if you're being affected by the same issue. Feel free to upload the file here in the discussion or privately through a support case.
Also, on many Android devices, the screen will automatically enter "sleep" mode after a period of inactivity. That behavior is managed by the device's OS and not Storyline 360. On the learner's Android devices, I suggest increasing the screen timeout duration to a higher value, or "Never" if possible.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
