Multiple dropdowns graded quiz
Hi, I have an exam that needs to have multiple drop down selections per question. I have an example that I have built many years ago in Lectora. Now that we are only using Articulate Storyline, I need to try replicate this. I have attached a screenshot below of what I need to achieve. I am hoping I may get some helpful guidance on this.
Many thanks and appreciation in advance.

Hi CiaranWhelan-2a,
You can replicate this interaction using text variables, states, layers, and triggers:
How to create the dropdown selections:- When the user clicks the dropdown list, display a related layer containing the options.
- On that layer, set the corresponding variable to match the selected option, then hide the layer.
- Use a trigger to update the state of the dropdown rectangle based on the variable's value when it changes.
How to identify the interaction as a quiz:- Convert the slide into a Text Entry Freeform Question.
- Place the text entry field outside the slide frame so users won’t see it, but the system will still register it.
- Set the text entry to a correct value (e.g., 1) when all dropdown selections are in their correct states. Otherwise, set it to an incorrect value (e.g., 0) upon submission.
