I haven't seen that type of feature discussed, and as you noted currently it's one caption language per each video file. I'll pass your idea as a feature request to our product team!
Having multiple language subtitles is a huge need. I work for a global company that would benefit GREATLY if we were able to have multiple languages for subtitles. Essentially change the "CC" button to a dropdown that selects the specific .srt file.
Same here William... I just submitted this as a feature request. Brandon Holmes below posits a somewhat viable solution... but it is a bit complex with large projects. At least, it's more complex than it should be (should be a built in feature!).
