I agree with what Joe & Walt said above. If you want one "course" that includes the training for multiple depts, then put the content for each dept in its own scene.
- As needed, you could have a quiz at the end of each scene, each with its own Results slide. When you publish the course for the LMS, indicate that all of those quizzes are Final Assessments. The course will submit the results for whichever quiz is completed first.
I also suggest that you consider which of the following approaches is best for your situation:
- Create one large course that includes the trainings for multiple depts. Assign all users to the same course. When a person launches the assigned course, they have to select the training for their dept.
- Create a separate course for each dept. Assign users to the course for their dept. When a person launches the assigned course, it immediately begins with the training for their dept.
There are pros and cons to both approaches. Things to consider:
- Is there any overlap in the content? (It might be easier to keep in sync if everything is in one file. )
- How easy is it to assign different courses to users based on their dept?
- What happens if you need to update the training for some (but not all) of the dept? Would you be able to require the folks in the affected departments to retake the training, without making the other depts retake it?
