My layer is dim on preview?

Hi All,

I am new to Storyline and am trying to learn layers. I created a base layer with different icons and set a trigger for a layer to appear when an icon is clicked. However, when I go into preview and click on the icon, the entire screen becomes dimmed. I did some research & thought it could have been my Feedback Master slide as having a "solid fill" but I checked "no fill" and no change has been made. Any advice would help!
