Narration in Rise
Is it possible narrate all text in a Rise course, similar what's possible in Studio and Storyline? Or is audio restricted to certain content types (timeline, process, etc)? Also, is it possible to have audio play continuously from the start of the presentation through the end, or does the play button have to be pushed for each audio snip?
Thanks in advance for assistance!

Bumping this as it doesn't seem to have been discussed for a while - what's the timeline on this feature add team? Looking at the above, there's clearly client demand. Not only that but I can't believe noone's referenced ADA requirements for visually impaired learners to be able to access information!

Thanks for keeping this issue active, because it's still my top priority for improvements in Rise.

Same situation here. I presented a short sample course to my client which she loved and get excited about because of the fast turn around and responsiveness. And then we started transferring content from her Powerpoint courses which she really liked more and more until we talked about inserting audio narration. We both agree there should be an autoplay option for audios (at least) in the course setting. Now she is having second thoughts.

Not having voiceover options in Rise essentially removes it from our authoring toolbox. It's shocking that it has existed this long without such a fundamentally crucial feature.

I still can't believe this hasn't been added. It's such a waste of a fundamentally beautiful, flawed tool.
Hi Katie and Matt! Rise 360 allows you to upload pre-recorded audio files, or you can record your own audio within the app.
If you're looking for text-to-speech, you can use Storyline 360's text-to-speech tool, save the .mp3 file, then insert that .mp3 file into your Rise 360 lesson.
Let me know if you're looking for anything else!

Hi Alyssa,
We can insert the that .mp3 file in any area of the course -eg. quiz, cover page, etc? If yes how can we do this?
New with Articulate, thank you for your response and feedback.

Hi Andreea!
Thanks for your question! While there isn't a way to add audio to a quiz or the course cover page, you can insert a .mp3 audio file in any block that accepts audio. Click here to see a list of blocks that support audio.

+1 for a Learner option to opt-in to auto-play audio, and also ability for us to add audio to all types of blocks in Rise. I submitted a Feature request - everyone should submit one!

I echo the thoughts of my fellow e-learning colleagues. We are building interactive books to be used by our target audience and the Rise interface is perfect for this project. However, the only limitation is the lack of narration in the text blocks and so many other blocks. Once we have that capability, users can choose to play the narration. As this thread is over a year ago, I am hoping that there is some progress for this capability. However, I do not see any update made on the software. Please advise on the timeline.

I'm new to Rise but all other authoring tools have this function. I don't see why your folks are not on board. At the very least an option for the user to click to read by the module (not by the block). Honestly this is a very robust tool but this option makes it unusable for true business purposes. I mean give the people what they want but this is not just a want it is a need.

I'm nearly done creating my first course in Rise (so easy to create and have such an outstanding look!) and wanted to move onto recording voice over/narration for the blocks to realise it is not possible? So gutted I have to get back to Storyline and create the course there instead (Rise is such a great tool, such a waste!). Please let me know if this has been addressed? Would love to use Rise instead of Storyline...
Hi Agata!
You can add narration to Rise 360 using any block that supports audio.
For blocks that don't support audio, you can add a multimedia audio block below or above the block that needs narration.
