Need Button To appear When Text Is Entered
Hi,
I need a button to appear after typing some text in a box. I can't get it to appear unless the learner clicks outside of the box. How can I get it to appear after they type a few words?

There's nothing in SL that forces the person to type anything and the variable itself isn't triggered until the object loses focus.
You could make the assumption that once the person clicks into the box that they're typing. And then add some sort of timed element where the button appears 2 seconds later.
