New Content Library Photos usage rights.

First off, how awesome are the new content library additions?!  And I'm sure the library is only going to get larger and larger now that the framework is set up.  So cool.

My question.  Does anybody know if there are any usage restrictions for the images?  Can they be included in courses intended for resale?  And can they be exported and used in Rise courses?

    Hello!

Just to clarify, can content be used in material promoting a course it is included in? For example, if I use an image in a course, can I also use it on a flyer promoting that course?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Brian,

Welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community! You are free to use any images from the Content Library within the Articulate 360 apps, but this does not include any product brochures or flyers. You can find the details outlined in our Content Library 360 FAQs.

    I hope this helps!

I'm working on a document for the Federal Government that REQUIRES citation for all images.  So, I'm wondering how to properly cite images available through Articulate 360?

  • Hi Sarah,

Thanks for inquiring about image citations for the images in our content library! The content library images are maintained by third-party providers. Here is an article listing them and providing links to their sites. I would check in with them for any citation needs.

I hope this helps you out!

  • Hi, I would also like to ensure that we don't need to include any citations on the Content Library images we're using in our courseware.

  • This is interesting, as our Legal department is calling out images I've included in a RISE 360 course, that came from the Image Library in Articulate, as not usable. The course deals with social media and therefore, has some icons and references to copyrighted logos (e.g., Google, Facebook, Twitter, etcetera). They'd told us previously that it's okay to use any image we pay for in a subscription, from here or iStock or any other such situation. Nevertheless, it's odd that they are telling me to NOT use images like this.

Are there any reasons why this kind of content from the Image Library here would not be usable, such as images with a Facebook or Twitter logo, or similar items?

      Hello Michael!

This is the first time that I'm hearing about a change in usability with our Content Library assets. We haven't made any changes that would make those images unusable.

If it helps your legal department, the Content Library 360 collection comprises several asset libraries curated and maintained by these third-party providers: Noun ProjectPexelsPixabay, and Unsplash.
