New Rise Feature: Search Course Content

Breaking news! We just released a cool new feature in Rise that lets learners search course content. Now they can use a field in the course sidebar to search keywords and jump directly to relevant results. This is a great way to let learners find key, useful info.

Pro tip: The search field is on by default, but you can turn it off in the course settings on the navigation tab.

  • Hi Landa! So sorry you're encountering this issue where the search feature results in <mark> tags being displayed around matching text. We're seeing the same problem, and we've logged it as a software bug. We'll update this thread if we make any changes that will help!

Any chance you can add search on the development side?

I would like to think this will happen. But alas, it has been eight years since this feature was requested so I'm not holding my breath.  After all, there's money to be made incorporating AI and other features. I will say that the addition of custom blocks has help me tremendously.  And the "animation coming soon" notices in the program should ease my workflow as perhaps I won't have to open storyline to provide motion graphics.  Keep up the improvements.  Those of us actually using your tools appreciate it very much.
