Next button flashes briefly even though hidden/disabled

I am using Storyline 360. I would like for the Next button on the Modern template playbar to be hidden or disabled until the user goes to the next slide. So, for example, they are viewing Sli...
Hi, sorry for the delay. I didn't think anyone had replied - I didn't get an email. I am all for making it easier. Does Restricted mean that the Next button will be hidden/displayed until the timeline ends and then the next time the user visits the slide, the Next button is enabled immediately so they can skip the slide if they want?
Also, yes, the two first triggers are what I had. For the Variable1 trigger, though, on which slide did you add that variable to become True? I assume the default is False?
