Next button function delayed despite no trigger to cause the delay

I converted two of my Storyline courses into Storyline 2 and now the user can only proceed to the next slide after the timeline ends when they click Next. I am not sure how this is happening and it ...

Hello Diane,

Thanks for sharing what you are currently experiencing.

I can see that you are using Storyline 360. If you do not need the prev/next button to be restricted to the slide timeline, you can uncheck the box to include the buttons in the restriction:
