No formatting for Marker labels?
Are there no formatting options for marker labels? The padding/margin, drop shadow etc?
I was hoping to save some time rather than building additional layer or using states, but they just look messy - am I missing something? :s

Markers have limited functionality. The beauty of a marker is its ease of use. If you want more control and nuance over your design, Layers will give you more options.
