Non-breaking hyphen
Hello, does anyone know the workaround to use a non-breaking hyphen in Rise?
For example, in Dutch we write e-mail with a hyphen. If that hyphen appears at the end of a line, you get e- at the end and mail on the next line.
How can I avoid that?
Using a soft return for the word e-mail is not an option either, as it’s not responsive.
Kind regards,
Ann

I solved it by asking AI, this is the solution:
The correct way to insert a non-breaking hyphen (‑) is:
Copy this character: ‑
(This is a non-breaking hyphen, Unicode U+2011.)Paste it into Rise instead of the regular hyphen. For example: e‑mail
Test the responsive behavior, as some e-learning tools don’t support this character in all browsers or screen sizes. But in most cases, it works well.

I have a text file with the special characters I use the most ( ≥ ≤ ≠ ± ÷ – — ), so they're always handy to copy and paste.
If you have MS Office, you can insert symbols and special characters in Word or PowerPoint, and then copy and paste from there.
