Open text box/field in Rise 360
Hi. Is it possible to add an open, blank text field in a lesson on Rise 360? I would like users of my course to be able to write reflective comments as I pose questions.
Thanks, Dan.
Hi Rob! Are you using the latest update of Storyline 360? If not, please update Storyline 360, then publish the text entry slide to Review 360 again.
Delete the current Storyline block, then add a new Storyline block using the newly-published slide. Let me know if that solves it!

Hi Alyssa,
I believe I am using the most current version, but I will try to re-publish and add a new block.

This would be great for one of my projects as well. It would be great if you were working on it. Thanks

I would also like this functionality.

+1 for this functionality in Rise - thanks!
Alternatively, perhaps you can adjust the "Fill-in-the-Blank" Knowledge Check to have an accept ANY answer option . . . that may solve it.
Thanks again.- MichelleDean-83Community Member
I have tried this option and it didn't work for me unfortunately!
Hi Michelle! Thanks for letting us know a survey block is important to you!
One alternative is to use Multimedia > Embed Block, and embed a 3rd Party form like Google Forms.
You can then capture the Survey data and have them emailed to you. Hope that helps!

I see I am not the only one

That sounds interesting. Necessity is indeed the mother of all inventions. Thanks.

I definitely could do with this also. It would be great!!
My workaround was to upload a Word Document where they could enter their ideas/reflections and save on their own computer to refer back to later. Works quite well.

For those that use H5P, you can use the Essay activity. Here users can enter their text and the activity will identify key words used and award a score. Or you can disable that and just provide feedback text.
Note however that - because this is embedded - written content will not be stored.
