Opening Projects Created in older versions of Storyline
Hi MikkiCastor-26c,
I’m sorry you’re running into this. Not being able to open a Storyline project you need to update can be really stressful, and I appreciate you sharing what you’ve tried so far.
If a Storyline repair does not help, would you be able to share your Storyline file either here in the thread or privately through a support case?
We’ll take a closer look and see what we can do.
Thanks for the reply Eric. Attached is the .story file.

The file appears to be a publish of the course, not the actual .story file. If you copy the file you have and change the extension to .zip and open it you will see what i mean.

Michael, I thought the .story file is what I needed to be able to reopen the course for edits. I have the entire .zip file as well...

Hi MikkiCastor-26c!
Happy to jump in here!
You're correct. The file you shared originally, ending in '.story', is the correct extension needed to open a project in Storyline 360. However, when testing the file, I also received an 'invalid/corrupted' error preventing it from opening on my end. I'd like our support engineers to have a closer look at this issue so I've opened a support case on your behalf.
You're in excellent hands troubleshooting with them and they should be connecting with you via e-mail shortly!
