Play at the E-Learning Casino - Blackjack Written in Storyline
https://www.darren-heath.co.uk/storyline/blackjack/story.html
Come and try your luck at the Blackjack table at the E-learning Casino!!
This is my latest game written in Storyline where i once again try to push the software beyond its traditional use and create something a little different.
This game is a replication of the casino game Blackjack/21, where the idea of the game is to beat the dealer by getting a hand that is as close to 21 as possible without going over, while beating the dealer's hand.
In this version there are no options to split pairs, double down, or take insurance. This follows the basic model of Blackjack, but in later versions the double-down option should be possible, and possibly insurance too, but i think splitting pairs is taking it a bit too far!!
How To Play
Playing the game is very easy. You start with $100, and your minimum bet is $10, your maximum bet can be your entire chip stack if you so wish. Clicking on the black chip to load up your bet, each click adds another $10.
Press the deal button and the dealer will deal 2 cards each, you will see the dealer's first card, and your two cards. Now use your skill, and luck to beat the dealer, either take another card to increase your total, or hold and let the dealer play out their hand. If you hit Blackjack your bet is repaid 2:1, if you beat the dealer in any other way your bet is repaid 1:1. So, if you bet $50 and hit Blackjack you would have $150 returned. Betting $50 and beating the dealer in any other way would return $100.
I think I have ironed out as many bugs as I could find but please, if you find anything that you think is not quite right please let me know, and if possible state the card combinations that were given before displaying the error so I can check it out.
I did toy with the idea of a high score table and sending the chip totals to Google Sheets. That worked well, but I couldnt get a suitable solution to display the table in real time back in to the Storyline build. So, if anyone has any clever ideas for that I would be interested in hearing your thoughts there!!
Hope you enjoy the game, I will plan on writing a document on how I went about building this but I will need some time to write that. If anyone has any questions of comments please post them up and I will do my best to answer you.

Plays well, I do get repeated cards (4 of clubs twice on 2 occasions)

It simulates a multi-deck game of Blackjack rather than just picking from 1 deck of 52 cards so it is possible to get the same card either in your hand or the dealer's

Looks interesting and would like to know how to create such content. Am planning to use the same concept for other purposes. Looking forward to learn.

This is awesome, Darren! You captured all the details of the game. Unfortunately, the dealer beat me and now I have a chip on my shoulder.😆 Thanks for sharing!

This is great! Thank you for sharing! I am looking to create something similar for our team and incorporating card counting. I would love to collaborate if you have any ideas for me!

I've never tried such a thing, but it sounds very hard to have no spending for a week or longer. Something will for sure appear and you'll have to pay. But yes, the financial situation can be hard nowadays, and I also try some new things to save money, and also to get some extra. For example, some time ago I came across this site https://gamblizard.ca/best-canadian-online-casinos/fast-payout-casinos/ which provided me detailed info on a few casinos with fast payout, and I like them. I like such games, and I can get some extra money too, and the payout is really fast so I don't have to wait for long.

Hi Darren,
I really like your game.
I once created a Yardzee game with storyline and end all the submitted results to a Google spreadsheet. The spreadsheet itself I set that veryone with the link is able to spectate it.
To show those results to other players I inserted an iframe into storyline linked to my spreadsheet.
Find a screenshot attached.
Hope that helps!
Best, Moritz
