pop-up (or tooltip) in Rise

Hello, is there a way to insert a pop-up or a tooltip in Rise block? It would be a really useful feature to insert "nice to know information" which is not essential and readers can decide not to open.

Thank you!

  • I was working on this, too. I tried buttons and accordeons and found at last that the labeled graphic is the best workaround for pop-up information. Here is my example. It is the same principal as Gerry´s solution.

  • having a "tool tip" feature is still in demand for Rise.  It should not be difficult for a Rise developer to add this functionality.  I

I'd love to see this added too.  Unfortunately after 4 years it looks like the roadmap for this is quite long

Hi @Articulate team, any news on this? Do you know when the pop-up feature to display a definition when hovering over will be available?

  • Hi all! I also think it would be very useful to be able to include tooltips in Rise. If they could hover but could also be accessed without the use of hovering with a mouse if needed (like with a keyboard instead), that'd be ideal! I can think of a few workarounds and I see some ideas here, but it'd be nice and much simpler to have the feature built-in. Thank you!

Also, would love an update on this, we would love to have this feature for our courses. Is there any timeline update?

  • That´s a +1 from my side. But seeing how long it can take for Articulate to implement such user-requested features (if at all), I´m not so positive about seeing it before I retire. ;-)

    Thanks for the workaround !

But this would be so useful and could add a lot more functionality to Rise, a sort of [#Tip] placeholder that Rise replaces with the proper formatting, that one could place in any other block, and that could  be rendered in various ways, like a tooltip, a footnote, and endnote, and so on !

Using the two workarounds gets me going, but not being able to precisely place the tooltip is annoying.

  • After 8 years asking for this, the best response yet is another canned response from EricSantos that he wil advocate for this on our behalf. Come on developers, you can do beter than this. Modals and popups wil be out of fashion by the time you have it developed.
