Preview is zoomed in

Hi everyone. I'm having this problem that when I preview a slide in Storyline it appears like it's zoomed in at 120%. The Zoom does not appear when I publish the course to the Review site.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Thank you,

Emilios

  • Hi Emilios,

Thanks for asking about this! I would love to help you with this issue, but first, I have some clarifying questions.

    1. Do you see the same when previewing other slides in the course?
    2. If so, does it happen in a new project?
    3. Which version of Storyline 360 are you using?
    4. Are you using a zoom region in the course?
    5. Are you enabling the Zoom to fit setting in the player?

Would you be willing to share a screenshot, video, or your file here or with our support engineers privately in a support case?

  • Hi John, thanks for the reply. What fixed it actually was checking the Full Screen checkbox in the Player Controls. The Zoom fit you are referring to I'm assuming is in the Accessibility controls option? The Full screen gives the user the option to expand their screen in the Player, not sure why it fixed my issue to be honest.

    Thank you,

    Emilios

  • Hi Emilios,

I'm happy to chime in! You're right; the Zoom to Fit setting can be found in the Accessibility Controls option. So glad to hear that this is now sorted out on your end. The difference between the resolution of the Storyline window and the browser when viewing the output may have contributed to the problem. Allowing Fullscreen helped resolve it.

Let me know if I can help with anything else!
