Problem in "Slide advances" > By user / Automatically
Good morning,
I would like to ask if you are also experiencing this issue: when I select one slide or multiple slides, in "story view", the drop-down menu to change them from "by user" to "automatically" does not appear. I click on the down arrow multiple times, but nothing happens.
This forces me to open every single slide and change the setting.

Yes, this can happen in Storyline when the slide transition setting isn’t responding properly in Story View. I’d recommend checking the selected slide(s) and the Slide Properties to confirm the navigation is set to advance automatically.
If you’re still unable to change it, feel free to share a screenshot of your Story View, and I’d be happy to take a closer look and help you troubleshoot it.
