Problem Rise saving learner progress in LMS

Hello,

After reading a lot of issues related to this, I haven't found the solution. I have different Rise modules (with embeded storylines blocks in it) and after testing each module in LMS, my client says that the LMS doesn´t save the progress each time a learner exit the course and returns back to it.

This is something that is important for my client as on a daily base, learners will have to stop the course to work and continues later.

Exit course buttons are enabled and the storylines are set as "always resume". In fact, my client says that there is not problem with Storyline blocks, but with Rise.

I'm aware of the suspend data after reading an article, and also of the reset learners progress button (which I haven't set on).

But any recommendation/idea of how can I fix this problem?

Pls some help! Thank you

  • Hello AlbaOrl ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

It is normal for embedded Storyline 360 blocks not to have a resume function in a Rise 360 course. This is because when Storyline 360 courses are published to Review 360 as part of the embedding process, they are not hosted on an LMS which is a requirement to have resume functionality enabled. Please consider designing your course entirely in Storyline 360 if your Storyline 360 block is a major part of the course.

If you're referring to the resume behavior of your Rise 360 course, try testing it in SCORM Cloud to isolate if the behavior is LMS-specific. If you can replicate the behavior in SCORM Cloud, please open a case with our support team here so we can investigate further.
