Problem with Screen recording and Text-to-Speech synchronization in a slide- Storyline
He everyone,
I have been struggling with a Storyline slide for a while now. Namely, I have a screen recording and text-to-speech in one slide, which I want to publish and embed into a course I am building in Rise.
Now, when I put all the elements in my Storyline slide and publish it in Review, my slide does not work. My screencast does not start as well as my text-to-speech (it starts when I click on the slide twice, but not when the timeline starts on the slide as I set it). But when I preview the slide while building it in Storyline it works perfectly.
Does anyone know how this problem could be solved? I would appreciate your help since I am on a deadline.
Best,
Milica
Hi Milica,
Thanks so much for reaching out! Sorry to hear you've run into this snag with this slide.
Would it be possible to take a closer look at your file? It will be helpful to take a closer look at your setup. Feel free to upload the .story file to this thread or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hello Milica,
Happy to chime in!
Embedded Storyline 360 courses do not autoplay when added as a block in a Rise 360 course. This is because most modern browsers prevent the automatic playing of media files as a way to improve the user experience. This article explains this policy which affects users of Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers.
One way around this policy is to add an interaction at the very beginning of your course. This will let the browser know that you are actively looking at the content which in turn would allow the media files to play as designed. For some authors, adding a 'start' button at the beginning of the embedded Storyline 360 content is their preferred method.
Let me know if this works for you!
