Publish Review links in Team folder by default - Feature Request
Once again our company has run into problems with the inability to default the publish to team area. It's a real oversight of a 'Team subscription'. Is there any movement on this feature? I cannot see it listed on the development roadmap and that really concerns me.

Hi KellyAtkins,
Thanks for your feedback!
I can understand how having the ability to default the publish directly to a Teams folder in Review 360 would be beneficial. I’d love to better understand the impact this has on your team so we can capture your use case accurately.
- How often does your team encounter this?
- What type of problems does this cause for your team?
- Ideally, would you want an admin to be able to set the team area as the default for everyone, or would you prefer each author to be able to choose and save their own default publishing location?
Any additional details about your team’s workflow and the impact of the current behavior would be really helpful. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

Hi Kelly,
I realise that this question was not directed at me, but as I've commented above and experienced issue with the lack of this feature I'd love to provide my examples.
The problem we encounter often is if we are asked to make a small edit to a course, then reshare with the stakeholder to show them that the change has been made. We use a Review link for this purpose and when we cannot re-publish to the original link (because the course owner has not remembered to move it from Private folder to Team folder) then we need to recreate a whole new review link. This now means that previous comments are lost in the old version and we also need to manage version control of our Review links with naming conventions (rather than being able to use the in-built version function). The Team settings should make it easier to work as a team, but right now, we are restricted by whoever the owner is.
I would want our Admin to be able to set the default to the Team folder. We have 25-30 licences so having to remember to tell everyone to change a default or remember to move review links sets us up to fail. - KellyAtkins9 days agoCommunity Member
Hi Kelly,
Thanks for engaging on this topic - it's causing us difficulty as we speak.
TahliLake thank you for your input. We share similar problems.
A course, and the respective review 360 link hasn't been saved to the group area, meaning there is a break in continuity for our client, sometimes a rebuild of the course is needed in extreme circumstances, when a new review360 link is created the old comments do not move from the old review link, the recirculation of a new review link is needed (internally and externally) which causes problems and when a few people are not in the business there is uncertainty on the best route forward.
We are training, we are creating resources and on the most part people follow the process. However, it only takes one inaction of not moving from private area to team area, which is not identified until a problem presents itself. At which point the person is usually out of office and we cannot fix it until they are back in office.
In answer to your bullet points:- A problem averaging out at least once a month, but overcoming it can be very impactful to timelines
- I've outlined the type of problems above.
- People perceive a team licence to act as a team licence with the Team area being the default. We originate from the pre-team license days so sometimes this is hard to reason
- There is a break in continuity for our client
- When a new review360 link is created the old comments do not move from the old review link
- In extreme circumstance, we've had to carry out full rebuilds (for Rise360 courses)
- There is alot of frustration that has built, because from our side we've identified a solution that would work for us, and by the sounds of things other members of the community, and we're unsure as to why this isn't be implemented or listed in the development timeline.
- The beneficial behaviour for us:
- Minimum viable - The admin seat would toggle the default for everyone to save to the team area.
- An iteration on the minimum viable - For the admin seat to choose the folder to which work is automatically saved within the team area for each author.
- While I've got you - It would also be great for the admin to be able to file in the Review360 area too, like they can in the Rise360 area. Is there a reason they cannot?
Happy to discuss this further should that be helpful to you Kelly, in order to work to a point of resolution. Please reach out with your email, and I'd happily set aside some time.
Best, Kelly. - AnnabelleGrew9 days agoCommunity Member
Hi Kelly,
Thank you for opening up the discussion.
This impacts our team every time we create a Rise course or Review link (which as a Learning agency is pretty much daily!) Although it doesn’t take long, manually moving the Review link is an additional step to remember, wastes time and can cause issues if someone forgets as this usually isn’t picked up on until they are unavailable and another team member tries to access the Rise or republish to the Review link.
Although we can create a new Review link, this then needs to be resent to clients and reshared internally and, as TahliLake mentioned, we lose any previous comments and version history which impacts the ongoing development of the course.
With Rise courses we have also encountered the further issue that whenever a new Review link is created it is assigned to the Owner of the course and published within their Private area. This means that as a collaborator on the Rise course I could create a new link but I still couldn’t republish to that link multiple times, instead I would need to create a new link every time the course was updated which makes for even more disruption and difficulty with version control.
As mentioned in my original post, we would like the Team area to be the default location for all published content (both for Rise courses and Review links). In order to ensure compliance across the team it would be best if an admin can set the default for everyone.
It would also be beneficial if admins could reassign the Owner of Rise courses to avoid the issue described above.
