Question About Cover Page Image

Hello all,

sorry if this has been asked before. I've tried but failed to find it in your logs. I notice in Rise most courses have a pleasant animation when starting the course. Concretely, the cover image shrinks down to the top left corner of the navigation bar in a fluid motion (see screenshots).

With my courses, somehow, there is no animation i.e. the cover image just switches from big to small & on the top left. I've clicked through Rise many times now but can't seem to find the reason for this.

Does anyone know how I can achieve the animation effect? Thanks for all help!

  • I'm not sure if this will answer your question but have you tried the following?

On your course click on THEME, on the menu to the left click on Blocks. Ensure that Entrance Block Animations are selected as ON. You can also click on Navigation in the menu and turn on or off the Navigation or change the type to sidebar, compact or overlay.

    Hi there,

thanks for your assistance. Unfortunately, however, that didn't quite solve the issue. I had already set all outlined preferences in exactly the fashion you outlined.

    So I'm a bit at a loss...

I've tested it on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera. The animation effect is not present in any of them.

    HI John,

Where did you see this type of animation?

Do you have a course example with this animation we can see?

Hi there. Yes indeed I do.

This course is an example of this kind of animation: LINK

The animation occurs when you click on "Start Course". Concretely, the title image slides to the top left corner. With my elearning, however, it does not. I.e. it just instantly transitions.
