Question about step by step simulations from existing videos

Thanks for your information.  You answered my question and your comment on not using other devices to record probably saved me some more time.

I am going to do a few tests with my Samsung phone connected to my computer with an app called Samsung Flow.  The pairing displays your phone screen and allows you to control your phone with your computer mouse and keyboard. So if this works to screen record phone app interactions I will be using that technique a lot.
