Question bank - numbering questions
I have a question bank set up to draw 10 questions from a pool of 20. Is there a way I can get the screen to display a question number, so learners know how far they have progressed?

This does not work well. Because upon review of correct/incorrect answers the number count will continue to increase.

Is there a modern solution to this problem? It is 2024 and things have changed but I can't find a way to make it so that I gat something that says "question x of y" at the bottom of the page and that would reset if they were to retry the quiz. Using the player to number the questions is not an option either. I don't want a menu to show.

If you are still subed to this! A solution I have been using is to have the question bank it it's own scene and use the %SCENE.SLIDENUMBER% and %SCENE.TOTALSLIDES%. This gives you an auto-generated number.
Only issue I have come across is, I am now skipping question banks depending on a pre-assessment, and it still totals the question bank in the scene that's not used.

The example posted by Steve still works, nothing has changed in Storyline to make this easier.
You can use if for review by setting a variable for each question that is populated by the question number variable only if it is initially 0
