Quiz Results AND Total Score Results - Only total shows
I created a 100-question quiz with four sections.
The learner can choose which order to take the sections. They must get 80% of the total questions correct to pass, so they don't see scores on the individual quizzes, but I would like to have them see that score in the end so they know if there is a section they should work on. I modified a total results slide to look like this, keeping the default variables on the left side, and adding %Quiz1.ScorePoints% for each quiz.
Unfortunately, when the user takes the quiz, the total scores correctly for percentage and points but not for the sub-quizzes.
The review questions button works for the total, but not for the sub-quizzes. They direct you to the score page for the quiz, and it shows as Zero. I copied the review buttons from the sub quiz page, but it shows as zero, even though that score gave credit to the total.
Here's the how the buttons are coded. It was just a copy from the review button on the main page
Am I asking the impossible? JudyNollet, wizard of variables, any ideas?
I'm attaching the Storyline file with the setup to 3 questions for each section.
Let me add one more thing about this that we discovered between my troubleshooting and working with Ian in Articulate support. In a setting like this, Storyline will change the result slides to Custom or Combined, which you can't do on your own. It does it to make things work. Freaked me out when I saw that.
I had to set the subquizzes to review the questions, and the aggregator results to review and aggregate the results slides. I only have it reporting on the aggregated results to the slides.
So now it works. Yay!

Hi Ange. I didn't. BUT that led me to look at the individual quiz settings, and they had all changed to Knowledge Check, and the checkboxes for what to calculate were unchecked, which is different from when I set it up, which had them as Final Exam.
I went back and rechecked them, and the scores showed in my boxes. YAY!! And my review quiz buttons work too.
I think that change got triggered when I set up the final results slide, which asks how you want to score things. I set it up like this, to combine all the points, and I'll bet that flipped the switch on the quizzes.
Hooray! Problem solved.

Glad to see this was solved!
For future reference, when things go wrong with quizzes, it's always a good idea to double check the Quiz Settings in the Results slide. There are so many ways that any (possible inadvertent) change there can mess things up.
- Verify that the appropriate question slides (and only those slides) will be included in the scoring.
- Verify the passing score.
- Verify the type of quiz (Knowledge Check, Pre-test, or Final Assessment).
- Verify the quiz's Name, which gets used in the associated score and points variables. Especially when a file has multiple Results slides, it's important to ensure the triggers on a given Results slide refer to the right variables.
