Quiz won't reset to initial state after quiz review

Are they leaving the slide to a new slide or just reattempting the question? A number of the matching or drag and drop question types won't reset to the initial state by design so that they user can see how they previously answered after the first attempt. If you wanted it to reset completely you could just a trigger on the "Try again" layer to "jump to slide drag and drop slide when the user clicks "try again".

The one caveat to this is that the slide will reset entirely including the number of attempts - so if that element is crucial to you, you'll also need to look at tracking a users attempt using variables on the slide vs. the question slide handling that using the built in methods.
