Record Screen Options - Default Settings

Hi everyone! I'd like to ask for your expertise. When I use the Record Screen function, I'd like to know how I can set up my own defaults, meaning my own captions color, font, mouse, and, if poss...

Hi Jackie44 
I came up with some workarounds, maybe they could help in the meantime until the feature is developed:

1. Captions:
You could use themes to change the color of the captions. Once you have the slides ready, click on the DESIGN tab and look for Colors: 

Find your theme on the list, right-click on it, choose Edit, and look for Accent 1. 
I'm not sure, though, if you can set a theme as the default so it is always used when you create software simulations. 

2. Fonts (found in the DESIGN tab) are also updated throughout the slides: 

3. Mouse Cursor: 
This requires downloading a cursor to your PC (you can easily download any Storyline cursor by going to Media Library). Once you have it:

  1. Go to Media Library (or right-click on the cursor icon you want to change and click Show in Media Library)
  2. At the bottom you will find an icon "Replace" (to the right of INSERT IMAGE)

     

  3. Replace the cursor with your previously downloaded cursor. 

It will replace this cursor throughout. Remember that depending on the action (clicking, dragging, typing) the default cursors will be different and they will all appear separately in the Media Library :)
