Recording audio not working in Rise 360
I have added an audio multimedia block and click the start recording button and record my audio but the template still plays. It is like it isn't picking up my mic maybe but, my mic works as I just recorded something else in a different software.
Hi Jody!
Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you are having difficulty recording audio in Rise 360.
Can you test if the same issue occurs in a new Rise course, and in a new Audio block?
Make sure that your web browser is supported and updated to the latest version. Try clearing the cache as well and then try recording the audio. Here's how to do it for your browser:
- Google Chrome
- Firefox
- Safari
- Microsoft EdgeIn addition, try using a different web browser when recording the audio in Rise, and see if helps resolve the issue.

I have this same problem. I tried clearing the cache in my Google Chrome, but still no recording being saved...will appreciate any guidance on this.
Hello Elizabeth,
Assuming you're using Rise 360's audio block to make your recordings, if you can see the block recording but can't save it, please ask your IT Team to make sure that all Articulate 360 endpoints listed in this article have been added to your network's allowlist. The saving part of the recording process looks like it might be getting blocked by security restrictions.
You'll also want to check the behavior using other browsers. If you can replicate the behavior in other browsers, checking the endpoints would be the way to go. If the issue is only happening in Chrome, please ensure your installation is up-to-date and is not running any browser extensions that could prevent the recording from working.
