Remove Localization feature

Localization sounded pretty cool, however it wouldn't work for my projects due to voice overs I use. Here's an example: https://360.articulate.com/review/content/84cd46f9-c457-4227-b76d-ec797204c0d2/...

Sorry to hear that you've run into this setback!

Storyline 360 does allow authors to remove target languages from a course that has been localized.

  1. Open a localized course and go to File > Localization
  2. Hover over the language you want to remove, and choose Delete from Project.
  3. If you delete all target languages, your .story file reverts to a standard, single language course.

 

However, even when this process is followed, the course cannot be opened in versions of Storyline that support Articulate Localization. Once you've applied the Localization tool for a translation, the instance of localization remains and is recognized by Storyline.

Instead of removing the target languages, I suggest saving the source language as a separate file.

This will remove all instances of localization, and allow you to open the newly saved file in older versions of Storyline.
